Elect Mayor Moeller

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Untitled-1 copy Please remember to get out and vote on November 3rd!

In Port Huron, Mayor Moeller, Martin Doorn, and James Fisher have fought against tax increases and against water and sewer rates increases. Help these men to continue their fight for fiscal responsibility in Port Huron. Mayor Moeller has pledged to keep at the task of balancing the budget in Port Huron by making government live within its means. The people of Port Huron must live within their means when managing their own personal budgets and they expect the same from their government.

Additionally, Mayor Moeller has been a fighter against corruption and fraud for his entire working career and has been a strong advocate for keeping government working for the people and not for the “good ol’ boy” establishment. Please join him in his effort to keep Port Huron moving forward toward a prosperous future!

Your vote is so important and crucial to this fight! Vote – Moeller, Doorn, and Fisher and support them in their fight against tax, water rate, and sewer rate increases!

God Bless you,

Todd A Courser, Esq.

Defending the Family

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Families need to be free from the government intrusion into the home. It takes two parents to raise children. The role of the state is served better when there is a father and mother raising their children. To raise a child it takes a family not a village (or state).

Empowering People to Independence

Monday, June 29th, 2009

I am in favor of a decrease in the entitlement system which will help families to move on with their lives. The measure of success of a government program is in how many people no longer need it. We need to move people off the system into prosperity and economic freedom. This is done by allowing those “on the system” to work. We need to allow them to accept employment after losing their jobs without fear of having their unemployment benefits cut off. This can be achieved by supplementing the difference between their new pay and their existing unemployment pay. We need to give people the liberty and freedom to take responsibility for their own lives.

Trim Back Government’s Power

Monday, June 29th, 2009

There is far too much government and it needs to be given a thorough revamping.  Our government has so mismanaged itself and in the process has refused to be held accountable. We must move to improve our business environment.  To do this we need to end the DEQ, which has tried with nearly every act, to destroy businesses.  We need to restore our ownership and entrepreneurial base.  We need to eliminate massive government mandates that keep healthcare and insurance from being affordable for working families. These items are key to restoring our economy.

The Best Government is Local Government

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Government by its very nature is bureaucratic and inefficient. The most effective government is conducted at the local level. For far too long the state has acted as if local governments are not needed. Our state needs to end unfunded mandates that are constantly being place on local municipalities. The state needs to give greater control of the use of funds to the local government. Local government should have latitude to use the funds that are allocated in a way that best serves the community. Not all communities have the same needs. The state is not in the best position to see or understand the local needs that are present in communities.
